The Culinary Academy of Long Island helps students to prepare for a wide variety of positions in restaurants, hotels, resorts, catering and cruise lines. Choose from programs such as Professional Cooking, Professional Pastry and Baking, and Hotel and Restaurant Management. Upon completion of an internship, our Career Services Office can help find permanent work that meets student's interests and goals.

The school prides itself on the warm, friendly relationship between the student body, the faculty and the administrative staff. The staff is available to all members of the student body for discussions about employment opportunities, continued education and help in meeting personal problems related to education. Our licensed teaching staff is comprised of professionals who relate program material to "how it is" in the real world of food service. Our performance-based training emphasizes the skills you will need in the real world of work. You learn from professionals with years of work experience. You train in facilities with equipment similar to what you will find on the job. And you are graded according to how well you can actually do what you have learned.

Mission Statement

The Culinary Academy of Long Island, INc. is a vocational school offering career training in the field of culinary arts. Conveniently locaated in Syosset, NY in its brand new facility, the school offers training programs that prepare graduates to enter employment in restaurants, hotels, nursing homes and catering establishments. In the vast and ever-growing field of food service, our students gain training that allows them to be skilled, competitive members of the workforce. The school prides itself on a warm, friendly relationship among the student body, the faculty and the administrative staff. Students are encouraged to discuss their school goals with instructors and administrators. The school provides academic advising and internship placement assistance to each student. The Director and the staff are available to all members of the student body for discussions regarding employment opportunities, continued education or help in meeting personal problems related to education.
